Job Description

Metia’s Seattle office is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team. We work with leaders in the tech industry on a wide variety of digital projects which span from email to customer evidence programs to web design and development.

The ideal candidate will be able to successfully plan and manage a wide array of digital projects, resources, and budgets while exceeding client expectations and driving new business opportunities. They will have a demonstrated track record of cross-group effectiveness, and an enthusiasm that will drive teams to successful results.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing projects from brief to completion. 

  • Overseeing the day to day delivery of all project requirements, on time and within budget.

  • Owning project profitability, and driving time and cost efficiencies to improve profitability without impacting quality.

  • Building and developing effective relationships with our clients, their partners, and their customers.

  • Being perceived as a key team member who the client can come to directly where appropriate, keeping in contact with clients at all stages.

  • Meeting client deadlines and proactively managing client expectations and delivery. Flagging where you can’t meet a deadline or need help.

  • Meeting agreed Metia and client reporting requirements, including budget status as appropriate.

  • Maintaining a good overview of client account activities.

  • Briefing other areas of the business on client needs, proactive knowledge sharing with other offices.

  • Monitoring effectiveness of campaigns and reporting on this with an eye for continuous improvement.

  • Focus on ensuring client happiness.

At the end of the day you need to be able to creatively solve problems and be able to see the big picture and how everything we do fits together. You need to anticipate your client’s needs sometimes before they know what they need themselves, and be ready with solutions. You need to understand what Metia offers to be able to understand your client’s end game and what will make him/her successful. 


To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have enough experience to know what everything above this line means and why it’s important (3+ years of experience in marketing or similar field); previous agency experience required

  • Have previous experience working with large B2B technology companies

  • Have the ability to make smart, analytical business decisions despite constant ambiguity

  • Have the ability to think through problems and solutions quickly

  • Be action oriented and have excellent attention to detail

  • Have experience with estimating and budget management

  • Have the ability to manage and effectively prioritize your workload and the workload of others

  • Possess the confidence to work independently and as part of a broader team

  • Have the means to attend client meetings around the Seattle/Redmond/Bellevue area

  • Have a great sense of humor

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Have previous technology and/or financial services experience
