An industry-leading, full-service agricultural retailer is seeking a Grain Elevator Manager to lead daily facility operations and deliver exceptional service to local producers. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient grain handling, maintaining quality standards, and fostering strong customer relationships within the agricultural community.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Management: Direct all facility activities, including grain handling, storage, drying, blending, and load-out processes
  • Quality & Inventory Control: Monitor grain condition through testing and sampling while maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Safety & Compliance: Uphold OSHA, environmental, and state regulations to ensure a safe, clean, and compliant workplace
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff to maximize efficiency and performance
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, supporting grain purchasing and marketing efforts
  • Facility Maintenance: Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment such as conveyors, legs, and grain cleaners

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of grain handling, storage, and agricultural operations
  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with grain grading equipment and inventory management systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing, lifting, and working in confined or dusty environments

Preferred Background

  • Experience in agriculture, agribusiness, grain operations, or logistics
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, grain handling) are a plus
