Job Description

Position Overview
As a Propane Delivery & Service Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of propane and related services within your assigned territory. You’ll work with a supportive team, receive ongoing training, and be provided with the tools and resources needed to succeed. This position offers a balance of customer interaction, hands-on technical work, and territory management in a company that values professionalism and career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safely and efficiently deliver propane to customers within an assigned territory.
  2. Perform service work and minor repairs on propane systems as needed or requested by customers.
  3. Install and upgrade propane systems in compliance with industry codes and company standards.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the Energy Division to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
  5. Adhere strictly to all Propane Industry Codes, safety policies, and state/federal regulations.
  6. Follow established delivery routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and reduce travel miles.
  7. Conduct daily safety inspections of delivery vehicles and equipment; promptly report any concerns.
  8. Maintain propane storage facilities in a safe, compliant, and well-organized manner.
  9. Work closely with sales and administrative teams to ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and customer communication.
  10. Provide estimates and bid information for customer installation and repair projects.
  11. Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and attention to detail.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall business operations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in propane delivery, energy services, or a related customer service role.
  • Must possess a valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment).
  • Ability to work flexible or extended hours, particularly during the Fall Harvest and peak delivery seasons.
  • Maintain CETP certification and participate in recertification training every three years.
  • Strong commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork.
