Mailroom Clerk
San Diego, CA (onsite)
4+Month Contract (temp to perm)
M-F (7:30AM - 4:30PM)

Qualifications

  • Seeking a Senior On-Site Services Specialist to support mailroom, shipping/receiving, copy center, scanning, document production, and light facilities services in a customer-focused office environment. This role requires strong customer service skills, technical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to work independently while supporting daily business operations.

    Responsibilities

  • Process and distribute incoming/outgoing mail, packages, shipments, faxes, and office supplies.

  • Perform shipping, receiving, dock, and delivery functions, including verifying packing slips and maintaining shipment records.

  • Operate high-volume copiers, scanners, imaging equipment, and bindery/finishing equipment.

  • Complete copying, scanning, imaging, binding, finishing, filing, archiving, and document production tasks.

  • Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 1–2 years of related office services, mailroom, copy center, shipping/receiving, or document production experience preferred.

  • Experience with high-volume copiers, scanners, mailroom equipment, or related office technology preferred.

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.

  • Understanding of shipping, receiving, mail distribution, and inventory procedures.

  • Basic electronics and equipment troubleshooting knowledge preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, instructions, and written procedures.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, move materials, and perform physically active duties throughout the workday.

  • Valid driver's license may be required.

  • Work Environment

  • Business casual dress code.

  • Extensive standing, walking, lifting, and movement throughout the facility.

  • Free assigned parking available.

  • Occasional overtime, evening, weekend, and emergency response coverage may be required.

  • Monitor copier and printer functionality, replenish supplies, clear paper jams, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate service calls.

  • Maintain equipment, service, meter, inventory, and job tracking logs.

  • Calculate job charges and generate reports as needed.

  • Respond to customer requests and provide updates regarding job status and service needs.

  • Deliver completed work to designated locations within and outside the facility.

  • Support meeting room and conference room setups.

  • Assist with office moves, light maintenance, housekeeping, and facility support tasks.

  • Provide occasional reception and administrative support.

  • Maintain organized, stocked, and professional work areas.

  • Travel between buildings as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
