Job Description
Office Services Associate
Seattle, WA (onsite)
7+Month Contract (Temp to Perm)
Shifts are determined by site hours of operation, typically start times between 7 am and 8 am, and end times between 4:30 pm and 5 pm
Driving: Yes, driving their personal vehicle to get to work, and if rerouted to other sites during the business day.
Qualifications
Provides operations support in a legal office environment, including high-volume copying, scanning, mail processing, and shipping/receiving. Handles sensitive, time-critical documents with a strong focus on quality and professionalism. This is a hands-on, non-administrative role requiring technical aptitude and the ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Operate high-volume copiers, scanners, mail and bindery equipment (cutters, drillers, staplers, shrink-wrap, etc.)
- Perform copying, binding, finishing, QC checks, and final document preparation
- Handle incoming/outgoing mail, faxing, shipping/receiving, sorting, distribution, and postage application
- Maintain and troubleshoot office equipment; clear jams, perform inspections, and report issues
- Manage document processes: scanning, OCR, file conversion/naming, formatting, FTP transfers, and TOC creation
- Maintain logs (meter, service, billing) and track inventory/supplies
- Deliver completed work to designated locations; may travel between buildings
- Support conference setup and basic technical tasks (laptops, calls)
- Respond to service requests and customer inquiries on job status/feasibility
- Perform filing, archiving, and document purging as needed
- Ensure work areas are clean, stocked, and organized
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of required training within 90 days
- 1+ year legal office experience strongly preferred
- Experience with high-volume copy/print and mail operations
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, email, document handling systems)
- Technical aptitude with printers, scanners, and office equipment
- Professional demeanor, business professional dress, strong communication skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; physically active role
Additional Information
Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
