Job Description

We have an opening for a Lead Engineer (Electronic Systems). The ideal candidate for this position is interested in all aspects of system integration (software/hardware/mechanical/etc.), project management, and has the interpersonal skills to work closely with technicians, engineers, and customers.

This position is temporarily remote.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop engineering solutions for a wide range of systems integration challenges (examples include: circuit board design, embedded software, radio communication, extreme environmental conditions, internet of things, etc.)
  • Take ownership of and lead projects from inception through packing and delivery.
  • General engineering tasks: create BOMs, drawings, manufacturing instructions, etc.
  • Work directly with customers to provide support, engineering guidance, and to ensure delivered products meet requirements.
  • Ensure engineering team adheres to ISO 9001 certified quality management system.
  • Identify and lead potential process improvements within the engineering team.
  • Travel as needed in support of engineering efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an ABET accredited University.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics engineering/systems engineering field.
  • 2+ years of experience leading engineering projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with engineering team, production staff, and customers.
  • Able to pass a thorough background check by the US Department of Defense.
  • Willing and able to travel (domestic and international).
  • This position requires access to ITAR restricted information (must be a US Person).
