Job Description

Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing

We're looking for a Technical Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership within our squads, helping deliver secure, scalable solutions that create value for Meridian. You'll guide solution design, support quality delivery, and bring your technical expertise to deliver alongside teams and provide great outcomes end to end. Our Tech Leads support and provide technical delivery to our business units, utilising solution architecture, integration support and delivery, vendor reviews, incident response and supporting our platforms on a daily basis.

In this role, you will: 

  • Provide technical leadership within cross-functional squads 

  • Develop and deliver solution design and integration 

  • Build and implement secure, scalable, high-quality solutions 

  • Apply modern engineering practices and standards 

  • Ensure operational handover 

  • Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and communities of practice 

  • Respond to priority incidents 

  • Maintain and support existing platforms

Qualifications

Ngā pukenga kei a koe mō tenei tūranga | What you’ll bring  

You'll bring strong technical expertise, a collaborative approach, and the ability to solve complex problems. You'll enjoy working across disciplines, influencing technical decisions, and delivering great outcomes. 

We're looking for experience in: 

  • Modern engineering practices including cloud, DevOps, automation and secure design 

  • Experience with enterprise and corporate solution architecture 

  • Supporting enterprise corporate systems and integrations (e.g. Oracle, Maximo, Azure, MS365, DataBricks, SQL Server) would be advantageous. 

  • Building and supporting business logic automations 

  • Review and assessment of vendor provided solutions 

  • Assessing solutions to ensure scalability, testability and maintainability 

  • Solving complex technical problems and delivering practical solutions 

  • Working collaboratively in cross-functional teams 

  • Communicating technical concepts to a range of audiences 

  • Continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and capability uplift 

  • Modern documentation practices 

  • Thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
