Job Description

Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing

We're looking for a Technical Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership within our squads, helping deliver secure, scalable solutions that create value for Meridian. You'll guide solution design, support quality delivery, and bring your technical expertise to help teams deliver great outcomes end to end. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Provide technical leadership across cross-functional squads 

  • Guide solution design and integration 

  • Deliver secure, scalable, high-quality solutions 

  • Apply modern engineering practices and standards 

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and communities of practice 

The location for this role is flexible. 

Qualifications

Ngā pukenga kei a koe mō tenei tūranga | What you’ll bring  

You'll bring strong technical expertise, a collaborative approach, and the ability to solve complex problems. You'll enjoy working across disciplines, influencing technical decisions, and helping teams deliver great outcomes. 

We're looking for experience in: 

  • Modern engineering practices including cloud, DevOps, automation and secure design

  • Azure, Databricks and SQL server would be beneficial

  • Supporting enterprise corporate systems (e.g. Oracle, Maximo, MS365 and Power Platforms) would be advantageous. 

  • Solving complex technical problems and delivering practical solutions 

  • Working collaboratively in cross-functional teams 

  • Communicating technical concepts to a range of audiences 

  • Continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and capability uplift 

  • Thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
