Job Description

This is a key leadership role in the Wind Maintenance and Development team, to provide operational oversight of Meridian’s wind generating assets through delivery of the wind turbine maintenance program, and sound asset management practices. You’ll need to be based within the lower North Island region, with regular national travel as required.

With the support of your team, you will maintain the highest standards of professionalism, health and safety, quality and consistency while maximising production, minimising downtime and enhancing Meridian’s reputations within the communities of our wind assets.

You’ll get first-hand experience in taking our operations team into a new phase of working, through initiatives such as ‘digitisation of work processes’, completing the remediation maintenance at White Hill, and in the near future incorporating our Harapaki wind farm into your operational portfolio.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Proven leadership experience in embedding a culture of safety ownership, service delivery and maintenance excellence
  • Experience managing the day to day operational activities on various electrical assets including generation assets
  • Ability to demonstrate personal leadership of health, safety and wellness programs and culture
  • An expert understanding and demonstrable experience in dealing with local site related agencies, land owners and other relevant stakeholders
  • Experience in reporting, business case development, and financial management
