Job Description

Mercatalyst (creators of meh.com, morningsave.com, sidedeal.com, mediocritee.com, casemates.com, and future projects) is looking for extraordinary Salesforce Development Engineers with Salesforce experience to work on our internal systems and infrastructure.

You’ll be responsible for the software that powers a variety of internal systems including supply chain, warehouse management, shipping logistics, vendor management, customer support, and accounting. If this doesn’t sound like the most boring job in tech then we’d like to talk to you. But only if you’re an amazing rock star, or a ninja, or a zombie hunter, or whatever term all the cool recruiters are throwing around these days.

Here’s the deal: this is not a Salesforce Administrator job. Sure, you need to know how to add fields, edit layouts, create dashboards and reports, manage permissions, and build approval processes. More importantly you need to know how to write code. Some of that code will be in Salesforce technologies (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, SOQL, SOSL, etc).

Lots of that code will be in technologies other than Salesforce (we use Elm, Node.js, and Python to name a few). All the Salesforce certifications in the world can’t help you with that. Ideal candidates are those with strong Computer Science backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-3 year Salesforce development experience
  • Strong Computer Science background
  • 1-3 years ecommerce experience a plus
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with change and ambiguity
  • Experience with the Force.com platform, AppExchange, Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Experience with the FinancialForce.com ERP, Financial Management, and Supply Chain Management products is a plus
