Onboarding Specialist

  • Full-time

Company Description

Operating in one of the fastest growing markets - senior living - Medtelligent is a technology company that builds, delivers, and supports the leading integrated software solution for assisted living communities: "ALIS" (pronounced “Alice” and stands for Assisted Living Intelligent Solutions ).

We work out of a great loft office space in River North and are a team of intelligent, good humored, fast paced, and fun-loving individuals bonded together by desire to build an awesome product that truly helps people every day.

Job Description

“Onboarding” is a relatively new term – people do not study this unique skill set in school and the abilities needed to be a good onboarder are often overlooked or grouped into a generic “client services” position.  At Medtelligent, we believe skilled onboarders are integral to a company’s success and certain types of people exceed at this position more than others.  To us, onboarders are a mix of project planers, technical experts, and therapists who guide our customers through a high-stakes time in their corporate development.

“Onboarding” to us means helping clients and their staff match features of the ALIS product to their exact needs and mapping the client’s current processes to the workflows available in the application (not always an easy task).  To accomplish this goal and ensure ALIS is sticky and providing value, the onboarding team spends a good deal of time focused on patiently guiding numerous types of unique individuals through the psychological challenges associated with change management.

The Medtelligent Onboarding Team loves to solve problems, work as a team, visit clients, add value, make jokes, work hard, learn, evolve, build relationships, help people, and be positive ambassadors of the ALIS product and Medtelligent company all with the goal of making our customers’ lives easier.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn and establish a solid understanding of ALIS software
  • Become an expert in at least one key ALIS feature
  • Consult with clients to transform their paper process to electronic; create new processes, document new processes and train communities to allow them to onboard onto ALIS software all while remaining compliant with state regulations

  • Document onboarding procedures, prepare release email content, update training materials based on new releases
  • Liaise between departments on clients needs, onboarding department needs and requests, product feedback, and bugs.
