As a Senior Network & Monitoring Engineer (f/m/d) your mission is to provide a top-notch global network and a powerful monitoring system which will give us a full transparency over our infrastructure. What you will do

• Design, build, and continually improve our global network with a software-defined approach
• Diagnose Networking hardware and software problems, and replace defective components
• Analyze data and define network capacity models and performance metrics
• Determine process for utilizing monitoring tools to help with the triage for major incidents
• Implement a enterprise-class security standard with proper technologies
• Maintain adequate infrastructure documentation enabling planning, diagnostics, and efficient resource allocation and utilization

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of professional experience as a Network Engineer
• Expert knowledge of managing a global and complex network infrastructure with modern approaches like SDN and SD-WAN
• Very good knowledge of monitoring systems like Nagios, check_MK, Solarwinds
• Excellent understanding of IT & network security
• Great Business Continuity Management experience & knowledge
• Very good communication skills and active listening skills with regards to working with cross-functional, agile teams
• English proficiency, German is a plus
• ability to travel during ramp-up sessions for one week at a time (ca. 4 times per year)
