The primary purpose of this role will be to develop, deploy and support next-generation patient health data collection applications for all Android devices.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with our Android team in realizing the product vision and satisfying business requirements.
  • Implement Android architecture designs for SDK and App development teams.
  • Utilize our CI/CL solution in GitLab for Android
  • Follow best practices established via process documentation
  • Participate in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices
  • Knowledge of design patterns and architectures
  • Providing technical mentorship to encourage the growth of team members via pairing opportunities, and code reviews 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years working experience in Android development or a combination of education and experience
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred
  • Providing technical mentorship to encourage the growth of team members via pairing opportunities and code reviews 
  • Have skills in Android software development utilizing Kotlin
  • Knowledge in Android architectures such as Jetpack’s main libraries
  • Travel as required (up to 20%)

  • Solid understanding of the entire mobile development life cycle

  • Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
  • Demonstrated experience designing robust software components
  • Experience following the latest Android best practices, patterns, and recommendations
  • Experience developing SDKs
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
