Job Description

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiology interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector.

You'll be joining a close-knit group of allied health professionals who are passionate about making a genuine impact and fostering a supportive team culture.  As a Rehabilitation Consultant here, you’ll be surrounded by colleagues who lift each other up, and you’ll be equipped with tailored training, tools, and mentorship to help you thrive both professionally and personally.

In this dynamic and rewarding role, you'll enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to structure your day while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals recovering from workplace injury or illness. You'll guide clients through their rehabilitation journey, supporting their return to health, work, and everyday life. This includes delivering tailored occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of physical and psychological conditions, and helping them achieve sustainable recovery and return-to-work outcomes.

Some of your day to day includes:

  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, Comcare, and employer-funded injury prevention programs
  • Partnering with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs and assist those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
  • Conduct Worksite Assessments, ergonomic assessments, functional capacity evaluations and workmatch assessments to determine current capacity, pre-injury duty goals and suitable duties available. 
  • Liaise with treating parties and stakeholders to create tailored graded return to work plans to assist your client reach their functional and work related goals. 

Qualifications

You'll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below!

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology
  • Full Professional Registration with AHPRA registration or Full Accreditation with ESSA as an Exercise Physiologist
  • Strong interpersonal skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders!;
  • Excellent Time management and organizational skills
  • Empathy, paired with genuine compassion and kindness, makes all the difference in this role.
  • Patience and resilience - essential for navigating challenges and supporting clients through their recovery journey
  • A current NSW Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must!
