Job Description
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our Townsville team, part of our Far North QLD team who are a close-knit group of passionate allied health professionals who genuinely care about each other and the community we serve. As a Rehabilitation Consultant here, you’ll be surrounded by colleagues who lift each other up, and you’ll be equipped with tailored training, tools, and mentorship to help you thrive both professionally and personally.
In this dynamic and rewarding role, you'll enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to structure your day while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals recovering from workplace injury or illness. You'll guide clients through their rehabilitation journey, supporting their return to health, work, and everyday life. This includes delivering tailored occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of physical and psychological conditions, and helping them achieve sustainable recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
Some of your day to day includes:
- Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks);
- Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
- Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals, and insurers to provide clinical updates and ensure alignment of rehabilitation goals.
- Work across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare & Department of Veteran's Affairs
- Prepare timely, high-quality reports outlining findings, recommendations, and clinical reasoning.

Qualifications
You'll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below!
Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Osteopathy
Full Professional Registration/Accreditation with AHPRA or ESSA
Fabulous communication skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders!;
Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy;
It's the kind of career where well developed time management skills are a must & plus!;
A current valid Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
