Our team is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (with AHPRA registration) and prior occupational medicine experience, to provide comprehensive clinical care, goal-directed, occupational medicine services including care planning, reviewing pre-employment, periodic medical assessments, pathology and health surveillance with a highly engaged client base.

Job Description

The role will allow you the opportunity to delve into your clinical expertise to educate, inform and advise the client, relevant stakeholders and your Cogent Team.

Further to that, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly as the role can be undertaken Full-Time or Part-Time, with hybrid working arrangements.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Support and care for clients with empathy and expertise to improve their personal health and wellbeing goals.
  • Undertake coordination of supports and wellbeing services for a highly engaged and motivated client population.
  • Review and advise on pathology and medical tests of clientele and its impact on suitability/capacity to performing their inherent workplace role safely.
  • Discuss pathology and assessment results with candidates/clients and providing clinical advice (informed by evidenced based practice);
  • Undertaking of relevant case coordination activity including liaison with all stakeholders; provision of email updates; and creation of appropriate documentation such as a treatment plans or other documentation as required.
  • Support an internal team of Care Coordinators with clinical expertise and escalation.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Registered Nurse (AHPRA Accreditation) with full registration. 
  • Hold a current and valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Evidence of completion of First Aid (level 2) or in circumstances where staff have obtained “Basic Life Support” training within a hospital setting
  • Demonstrate a caring and empathic nature when liaising with clients, customers and colleagues.
  • Occupational Nurse experience.
  • Experience with reviewing and analysing pathology and relevant workplace health medical.
  • Strong customer service focus with ability to identify and solve problems from relevant resources.
