We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join MedHealth’s Specialist Services Group supporting mlcoa. This role plays a key part in enabling the business to meet its financial and commercial objectives.
This role can be based in any Medhealth office.
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Finance Personal Injury, you will partner with your business, providing end‑to‑end financial support including monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial modelling, and commercial analysis.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Developing financial reports and models to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
- Leading monthly reporting, quarterly board processes, and budgeting/forecasting cycles.
- Conducting pricing reviews, margin analysis, and commercial modelling.
- Ensuring accuracy of accounting processes, compliance, and financial systems.
- Managing divisional costs, month‑end close, accruals, and debtor management.
- Responding to ad‑hoc reporting requests and supporting audits.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement.
- Educating and mentoring managers to strengthen financial acumen.
You will also contribute to broader business planning by monitoring risks, legislative changes, and market conditions, and by supporting project work as required.
Qualifications
We are looking for a finance professional with strong technical capability, commercial insight, and the ability to partner effectively with operational leaders.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar finance or commercial role.
- Strong Excel modelling capability.
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Australian tax laws.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with tact and diplomacy.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Understanding of customer contracts, departmental guidelines, and group policies.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Case Manager or PRODA (desirable).
