Job Description

The Position:

This is an on-site position

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Job Coach to join our team in Punchbowl and Surrounding Suburbs. As a Job Coach, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting individuals in their career development journey, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their professional goals.

  • Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with clients to assess their skills, interests, and career aspirations
  • Develop personalized career plans and strategies to help clients achieve their employment goals
  • Assist clients in improving their job search skills, including resume writing, interview preparation, and networking techniques
  • Collaborate with local employers to identify job opportunities and facilitate client placements
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout their job search and initial employment period
  • Monitor client progress and adjust career plans as needed to ensure long-term success
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with current job market trends, employment laws, and career development best practices
  • Organize and conduct workshops on various career-related topics
  • Liaise with other professionals, such as counselors or social workers, to provide comprehensive support to clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Minimum of one year's experience in a customer service or client-facing role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals overcoming challenges
  • Knowledge of career development theories and practices
  • Familiarity with job market trends and employment laws
  • Ability to work towards and achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Proficiency in using career assessment tools and job search platforms
  • Empathetic and supportive approach to client interactions
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for clients
  • Adaptability and creativity in problem-solving
  • Confidence in liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong belief in connecting people and businesses to foster mutual growth
  • Current driver's license
  • Familiarity with the local job market in Punchbowl and surrounding areas (preferred)
