Job Description
The role of the Senior network engineer is to provide a high level of specialist support to the MedHealth Technology team. The role will report to the Network Operations Team Lead. You will be the focal point for all network technical issues and decisions, working closely with all engineers across the wider TechOps team, whilst also provide advice and mentorship to other team members.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar senior role
- High level of Experience in configuring and managing Cisco Network infrastructure
- High level of Experience with network monitoring, trend analysis and management platforms utilizing SNMP, Netflow, Syslog
- High level of demonstrable experience in Network fault analysis and diagnostic skills using packet analysis and common networking tools
- High level of experience in configuration and administration of Cisco Routers / Switches (IOS) Nexus (NX-OS), Wireless Controllers
- High level of Experience with BGP, OSPF, DMVPN, ADSL, Ethernet
- Minimum Certification Requirements CCNP
- Experience in a large retail environment network with multiple end points a plus
- You have worked in fast paced and high growth businesses, responsible for large scale enterprise networks
- You can recognise trends and identify conflict quickly and communicate this clearly and effectively
- Exceptional attention-to-detail
- Ability to manage vendor and drive outcomes
- A passion to identify new and improved ways to provide support services
- Some people management capability, as it is likely that this role may have one direct report
- Experience working closely with large enterprise vendors such as Telstra, Microsoft, Cisco and HP that will be an advantage
Additional Information
- Maintain network availability and performance across MedHealth’s network, by resolving all network and related issues, whilst meeting SLA
- Be a key member of all TechOps projects
- The role must deliver operational effectiveness for the core data network and resolve problems across the entire infrastructure network
- Ability to professionally represent I.T. in internal and external meetings
- Ability to establish strong relationships and work effectively in a team
- Keep up to date documentation and operational procedures
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of the network DR systems and participate in regular testing
- Be part of the infrastructure team on call process
- Resolve Helpdesk tickets in an effective and timely manner while Maintaining accurate Ticket notes
- Assist in the planning, development and deployment of network technology and business process solutions that enables effective operation of the network
- Maintain SLA with capacity planning and performance monitoring.
- Monitor, tune and perform trend analysis of the system/network performance
