Job Description

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to support people to Return to Work after sustaining an injury or illness AND to support Activities of Daily Living Assessment and equipment trials for individuals as a result of work-related injury or illness. This opportunity will be servicing the Morwell region & on a casual basis.

Every day is different but each day you will have the opportunity to assist people to return to wellness, work and ultimately experience an improved quality of life:

As part of Activities of Daily Living Assessments, you will:

  • Assess an individual's Personal, Domestic, and Community ADL's, and identify recommendations for services, support, and/or assistive equipment;
  • Complete equipment trails in person with your clients, to ensure this recommendation is safe and appropriate for the Injured Worker, as well as prompting independence in their day-to-day life;
  • Education to our clients and Injured Workers to compliment recommendations for support, and/or assistive equipment.

Qualifications

You'll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below!

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy 
  • Full Professional Registration with AHPRA
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders!;
  • Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy;
  • It's the kind of career where well developed time management skills are a must & plus!;
  • A current Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
