Job Description
We are looking for a Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team in Sydney on a full-time or part-time basis!
On a day-to-day basis you will be an integral part of the close-knit team of Kairros Consultants who work with and support people who have sustained a psychological or physical injury in the workplace. As a valued team member, you will have the responsibility of assessing needs and then providing effective solutions and strategies to ensure that Kairros clients receive a safe return to work within their same employer or with a new employer as part of their rehabilitation and recovery.
A day in the life of a Rehabilitation Consultant:
- Undertaking assessments relevant to your discipline to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans. Including worksite, functional, ergonomic, activities of daily living
- Designing and implementing intervention programmes using occupation to improve functional performance, independence and work capacity
- Identifying barriers and designing, implementing and monitoring programs that support people to achieve maximal work participation
- Understanding a variety of healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes and empowering your clients to achieve their wellness and recovery goals
- Liaising with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
Qualifications
Experience you will bring to the team:
- An inclusive and integrative attitude towards engaging with the many diverse cultural groups that make up the society in which we live and work
- The ability to engage with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) clients and stakeholders in their recovery and return to work journey
- A passion for empowering people to achieve their health and wellness goals
- A willingness to travel (Current Vehicle and Drivers Licence needed)
- Qualifications and relevant registration in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology
- Determination to consistently provide a high level of customer service
- Current or able to obtain Working with Children Check and Police Clearance
