Job Description

As a Psychosocial professional, you will empower and advocate for participants who have a psychosocial disability or mental health concerns. While utilising a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed perspective, you will:

  • Independently assess complex participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function 
  • Use clinical observations and standardised assessments and interpret findings to formulate treatment goals.
  • Participate in training and receive formal 1:1 supervision 
  • Engage in monthly peer group supervision with the Newcastle team
  • Collaborate with the wider AAA Australia team of OT's, Physio's, EP's, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and BSP's.

About You:

To be successful, you will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Occupational Therapist
  • Experience supporting and providing therapy to individuals with psychosocial disabilities
  • An interest in working with people of all ages and abilities
  • The ability to work autonomously and remotely while linking in with a larger multi-d team
  • A driver’s licence and full access to a vehicle
