Job Description

To ensure all Positive Behaviour Support delivered by our PBS practitioners are of a high standard and in line with evidence based and best practice.

Under the guidance and support of the of the National Clinical Excellence Manager:

Service Delivery

  • Develop and monitor implementation of innovative, evidence-based clinical service delivery frameworks and packages for Positive Behavior Support services
  • Initiate partnerships to deliver innovative Behavior Support programs and value-add services
  • Liaise with other managers regarding issues with clinical service provision and inform continuous improvement
  • Work with Operational Managers to ensure that Positive Behavior Support services are of expected AAA standard.

 

Leadership

  • Support and coach Team Leaders so that supervision and clinical support related to PBS is to a high standard
  • Deliver training on varied areas of PBS clinical practice
  • Work closely with learning and development and other divisional resources to ensure in-house training meets targeted objectives and reflects adult learning principles and best practice
  • Provide expert clinical leadership for staff delivering PBS services and collaborate with Managers 
  • Develop, refine and facilitate the PBS specific content for the onboarding program
  •  Attend networking events, conferences, seminars or MedHealth/AAA funded and organised events with team members or management

 

Professional Practice

  • Oversee the PBS framework, and where required, provide individual and group clinical supervision for PBS Practitioners and provide feedback that informs continuous improvement
  • Maintain written records of case reviews and supervision sessions.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering PBS services in the NDIS
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing others
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to obtain results through others
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Highly organized and outcome focused
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

 

Qualifications

Registration with a relevant professional body and experience providing training and supervision in the area of Positive Behaviour Support
