We are looking for Director of Engineering to join our development team that is building the best-in-class cyber insurance platform. This position requires hands-on contributions to our cyber-insurance products in addition to managing a growing, globally distributed team of software engineers. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a technical lead and a demonstrable proficiency in designing, deploying, and operationalizing cloud-based products. Job responsibilities

• Manage deliverable and timelines for Measured cyber-insurance platform and external APIs
• Provide technical leadership to our growing team of software engineers
• Lead design and implementation of our products including the data engineering stack, risk modeling services, and partner APIs
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines and operational procedures for business-critical components
• Work with product managers and underwriters in translating business requirements into a product roadmap

• BS/MS in Data Science or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of technical leadership and 5+ years of software development experience
• Multi-lingual programming capability including TypeScript and Python; familiarity with nest.js is a plus
• Proficiency in modern cloud-based software architectures including micro-services, containers and serverless computing
• Experience developing and deploying SaaS products in the cloud, AWS preferred
• Familiarity with Web front-end technologies such as React.js
• Working knowledge of Data Engineering tools on AWS such as Glue, Athena, S3
• Familiarity with Agile software development process
