Job Description
Overview
As the Production Supervisor at Amerex, you are responsible for overseeing production employees in their performance. Ensure the production process flows smoothly to meet the Company’s goals and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Manage employee’s daily activities to ensure production efficiencies and minimal overtime. Maximize production personnel capabilities and implement procedures to improve efficiency.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and regular performance feedback to employees and managers. Complete verbal and written counseling as needed.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintain quality standards by establishing and enforcing company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolve personnel problems; investigating issues; identifying solutions and recommending action.
Qualifications
- 3 years direct supervisory experience in working in or leading a production or manufacturing team.
- Proven facilitation and leadership skills. Ability to multi-task and motivate. Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative, open-minded; interaction skills and work well under pressure.
- Ability to interact in an effective manner with all levels of the organization.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; computer and organizational skills
- ISO 9000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS training preferred.
- Excellent evaluation, and attendance history and no warning in past 12 months

SUMMARY OF WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to work under stress occasioned by production requirements and personnel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to handle mental stress/pressure. Ability to work long hours in emergencies, overtime, or alternate shifts. Ability to effectively communicate on radio; and hear over equipment noise. Able to sit, walk and/or stand for extended period.
