Company Description
The Continuous Improvement Engineer drives operational excellence by leading cross-functional initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. This role focuses on identifying process inefficiencies, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize performance.
Job Description
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing process improvements, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Identify areas of inefficiency and recommend solutions to streamline processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis to determine the source of issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of process improvements.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
- Provide training and support to teams to ensure successful implementation of improvements.
- Troubleshoot machine losses and recommend improvements.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in continuous improvement and/or process improvement roles.
- Certified Lean &/or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software
- Strong project management skills, including experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
- Proven track record of successful process improvement initiatives
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
- Experience with process mapping and value stream mapping
- Knowledge of Kaizen; including Standard Work, 5S, SMED, SPC, etc.
- Advanced problem-solving skills
