McWane Plant & Industrial in Exeter, CA is a recognized leader in water control products for water treatment, wastewater, high-volume agricultural and rural surface water delivery, hydro-power, and flood control management. Job Description
The Maintenance II - Specialist will support both the maintenance and production departments with reviewing and closing out work orders while exercising the ability to program and leverage their industry knowledge.
Qualifications
The responsibility of this position is managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, has a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detailed, specialized work is the major focus. The person in this position will require clearly defined work, responsibilities, and reporting relationships, ongoing and thorough training opportunities to develop expertise and increase confidence, and frequently expressed appreciation of the person’s competence, conscientiousness, and loyalty. The position will provide security in a stable work environment, allowing the person to plan for, focus on and complete tasks on hand. When changes in the nature of the work occur, the person in this position will need direction, training and support. The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.

- PIt/Aerial lift/working from heights
- Using power tools and lift
- AC & DC control circuits & wiring, conduit, bending, communications (Data-Hwy, Remote IO) Implement electrical safe work practices to maintain the site facilities.
- Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Trouble shoot and repair equipment, machinery, electric controls, panel construction, wiring, fabricate, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, solder, grind, saw, use hand tools and other shop equipment
- Safely modify & install energy control devices
- Monitor equipment and operations to meet qualify and safety standards
- Comply with LOTO, Confined Space, Respirator & other applicable training and procedures
- Follow diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions & engineering specs
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; talking to operator or supervisors, manufacturer’s manual and using precision measuring and testing equipment
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control
- Maintain maintenance supplies by anticipating needed equipment and communicating needed supplies and irregularities
- Provide direction, guidance, information and resolve customer or product design concerns
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- All other duties as assigned by management

Education and/or Experience
- Maintenance, electrical, welding Technical training or equivalent experience, (PLC experience a plus)
- Must have 4 years mechanical, electrical, Welding, Hydraulic and Pneumatics experience
- Requires 5 to 7 years of experience in electrical maintenance
- Creative self-starter and problem solver with tolerance for ambiguity
- Computational skills required
- Math reasoning required
Hourly Rate: $26.72-$27.74
