Job Description
As a Senior Operative, Project Engineer, you will manage and deliver a portfolio of race car components, associated tooling and validation activities across both in-house and external manufacturing routes. Acting as a process expert, you will use your specialist knowledge, judgement and experience to manage risk, optimise delivery and drive performance across project engineering activities, ensuring alignment to race, test and programme schedules.
What You'll Do
- Manage and deliver a portfolio of race car components, associated tooling and validation activities across in-house and external manufacturing routes, ensuring alignment to race, test and programme schedules.
- Develop and maintain detailed production plans, reconciling demand across multiple programmes to support on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead capacity planning activities and support make-or-buy decisions, balancing cost, capability, risk and delivery requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Technical Purchasing, Quality and Supply Chain teams to manage suppliers, resolve issues and proactively mitigate project risks.
- Drive continuous improvement across project engineering and operational planning processes while maintaining accurate planning data and delivering against performance targets.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
- Experience in project engineering, production planning or operations within a high-performance manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes in low-volume, high-complexity environments, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and bill of materials data.
- Experience using planning systems, data management tools and digital solutions to support effective programme delivery.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to demanding deadlines.
- Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders across functions; experience within motorsport, high-precision manufacturing or continuous improvement environments would be advantageous.
