Starting Rate

$22.24/hr ($25.24/hr with reliability pay)

To recognize individual reliability, you will be eligible to earn an additional $3 per hour. This bonus applies to team members who fully work their bid schedule per pay period, do not accrue ANY attendance points, and on active payroll at the beginning and end of the pay period.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bus Agent to join our ground operations team at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA).  The Bus Agent position works to support the needs of airline passengers by providing bus service on a specified route between the main terminal and remote aircraft parking locations. This role ensures reliable transportation in a fast-paced environment by focusing on safety and adherence to traffic rules and regulations, while keeping friendly, professional service at the forefront.

  • Performs and records on specified forms or by electronic means required pre- and post-trip walk around visual inspections to check for damage to vehicle and ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Report any defects to supervisor
  • Ensures the cleanliness of bus and boarding areas
  • Consistently adheres to traffic rules and regulations, ensuring safety is the primary focus
  • Addresses questions and concerns from passengers with professionalism and courtesy
  • Acts in accordance with the values of Safety, Service, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Accountability, and Pride at all times and portrays a positive image in this customer-facing role
  • Willing to perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Comfortable driving large passenger vehicles safely.
  • Previous experience driving in ramp environment preferred.
  • Working in an environment full of activity, fast-paced, and often noisy.

Must haves to join our team

  • Previous customer-facing experience required
  • Previous passenger bus experience preferred
  • Able to work varied shifts; weekends and holidays
  • Obtaining and maintaining an airport security clearance, customs seal, and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drug screen, and fingerprinting required
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to get along with others
  • Understanding and ability to utilize electronic tools to interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information
  • Performing basic mathematical functions (e.g., counting bags, verifying cargo weights)
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Lifting up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license and one of the following documents to be qualified for this position.
    • Original or certified copy of a birth certificate
    • Unexpired US Passport
    • Permanent Resident Card
    • Unexpired US Territory Passport and I-94

 

    Additional Information

    Physical Capabilities Testing

    This position requires significant physical agility; you will be required to complete a Physical Capabilities Test post offer that will demonstrate your ability to:

    • Lift, carry, and place weighted standardized boxes, suitcases, or duffel bags from floor height to overhead.
    • Climb steps carrying weighted standardized box, suitcase, or duffel bags.
    • Sit and rotate to the left, right, and behind and visually identify a letter or number.
    • Pull a weighted sled a standardized distance.

    Airport SIDA Badge Requirements

    Important notification for employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar: Employees will be required to obtain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority and maintain good standing in order to keep their SIDA badge.     Union Information

    This position is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).   Per the CBA, work schedules are awarded based on seniority. New hires are awarded their initial shift based on operational need.  Therefore, the company cannot guarantee certain days off.
