Job Description

Outstanding growth opportunity for an environmental professional looking to join a team of respected individuals known for their quality engineering, planning and client service. Position location may be flexible depending upon the qualifications and experience of appropriate candidates with potential to be based in any of MJ's office locations (Binghamton, Canandaigua, or Saratoga Springs, NY, Concord, or Portsmouth, NH, Freeport, ME,  Westford, MA, Miami, FL or Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities include: Perform wetland delineation, ecological studies, threatened and endangered species studies, air quality analyses, noise analyses, prepare environmental reports, permit applications, and present to clients &/or the public, with some travel required.   

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering related field required, with 2 - 8 years of progressive experience. 
  • Knowledge of Environmental and Engineering principles, with strong desire and willingness to learn.
  • Experience with transportation projects, NEPA and SEQR documentation and permitting preferred.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills, excellent speaking and organizational skills, with ability to work independently required.
