Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Order Management System (OMS) Architect to design and implement scalable, high-performing order management solutions for enterprise e-commerce and marketplace clients. In this role, you will be responsible for defining OMS architecture, integrating with various commerce, ERP, and fulfillment systems and ensuring seamless order orchestration.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in OMS platforms, specifically KIBO, order processing workflows, inventory management, and multi-channel commerce integration. Experience with Kibo Order Management System is needed, as you will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and development teams to create robust, flexible, and secure order fulfillment solutions that enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Top 5 Responsibilities:
- Architect and design scalable OMS solutions on Kibo, to support omnichannel commerce, order routing, inventory visibility, and fulfillment workflows.
- Configure and optimize Kibo OMS for customer specific requirements.
- Integrate Kibo with e-commerce platforms, ERP, CRM, WMS, and payment gateways to enable seamless order lifecycle management.
- Define order processing rules, workflow automation, and exception handling within Kibo OMS to optimize order fulfillment and reduce delays.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, develop best practices, and provide architectural guidance for Kibo OMS and other implementations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Design real-time and batch order data processing solutions within Kibo and other OMS platforms.
- Implement order orchestration strategies for BOPIS (Buy Online, Pick-up In-Store), ship-from-store, drop shipping, and multi-node fulfillment using Kibo OMS.
- Ensure system performance and scalability by optimizing database structures, indexing strategies, and API response times in Kibo.
- Develop and enforce data security, GDPR, CCPA, and PCI-DSS compliance policies for customer order data in Kibo OMS and other platforms.
- Conduct proof of concepts (PoCs), performance benchmarking, and system health checks for continuous improvements in Kibo-based solutions.
- Support pre-sales efforts by providing technical expertise, solution demonstrations, and architecture recommendations for Kibo OMS implementations.
Qualifications
Top 5 Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing OMS solutions, including Kibo OMS, in an enterprise or e-commerce environment.
- Strong expertise in Kibo OMS and other platforms such as IBM Sterling, Manhattan OMS, Oracle Order Management, Salesforce Order Management, or Fluent Commerce.
- Hands-on experience with API development, microservices architecture, and cloud-based integrations (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) within Kibo OMS and other order management platforms.
- Proficiency in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Graph DBs) for order and inventory management, with experience optimizing Kibo OMS database performance.
- Experience with multi-channel order fulfillment models, including BOPIS, ship-from-store, and drop shipping, using Kibo OMS to streamline operations.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ERP and CRM systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Salesforce) and their integration with Kibo OMS and other platforms.
- Experience with ETL, real-time data streaming, and event-driven architectures using Kafka, Apache Spark, or Airflow, particularly for Kibo OMS order processing.
- Understanding of data security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and fraud detection, with implementation experience in Kibo OMS.
- Familiarity with BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) for order performance reporting and sales insights within Kibo OMS.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to engage with clients and internal teams on Kibo OMS implementations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Relevant cloud, Kibo OMS, and data security certifications are a plus (AWS, Oracle, Salesforce, IBM Sterling OMS).
