Job Description 

In our quest to provide better value-added services to our online marketplace clients, McFadyen is building an analytics / BI dashboard to provide insights based on data residing in various systems. This dashboard will be capable of generating reports that provide insight to marketplace operators on the various aspects of their ecommerce and marketplace operations. This will help them take meaningful decisions for improving online sales, enable their sellers to utilize the platform better and offer a better end user experience to their customers. 

As a Product Owner, you will own the design, development, and go-to-market planning for this analytics dashboard. You will work closely with our marketplace focused marketing, sales and delivery teams to understand the opportunity and translate it into a set of requirements and design for the dashboard. You will bring in your past experience in the analytics and business intelligence domain to define a set of business relevant reports and other data visualizations based on the underlying data. You will articulate the requirements for the development team in a product backlog and act as the business expert for the Scrum team. 

The Product Owner will be our Subject Matter Expert assisting in sales pursuits for the BI Dashboard. You would understand the opportunity and be able to position our product in the best possible manner to fulfil the requirements.

  1. Own and drive development of an ecommerce marketplace dashboard. 

  1. Define the requirements and high-level design of the product. 

  1. Ensure the use of best practices in analytics, dashboards, and cloud tech. 

  1. Support efforts to market, sell, and implement the product. 

  1. Introduce new innovations related to analytics, data science, BI, AI/ML, etc. 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Articulate Marketplace Analytics vision to McFadyen customer base and help translate the vision into quantifiable action items  

  • Help design a model to capture data across different data sources and build reports to Analyze eCommerce/Marketplace trends 

  • Act as a Product owner for building the BI Dashboard as well as delivering training to customers on the usage of these  

  • Build out standard reporting with GA/Omniture/Site catalyst/ Tealeaf/Clicktail – Content Square/Splunk data and consolidated data sources 

  • Support the Marketplace teams with Insights for SEO, SEM, Site Search, Ratings & Reviews, Chat performance, experience design and experience operations 

  • Establish baseline metrics and analytics, collaborate with customers to track and report all key performance indicators  

  • Monitor existing KPI metrics, developing new metrics, identity correlations and root causes 

  • Design and build visualization dashboards to accelerate information-to-action at scale for McFadyen ecommerce customers  

  • Develop programs, methodologies, and reports for analyzing and presenting data

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following methods - data analysis/visualization, financial modeling, statistical modeling 
  • Experience with enterprise data analytics tools like Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, Looker, Domo, Information Builders, SAS, ThoughtSpot, Birst, Pyramid Analytics, Quicksight, and Logi Analytics. 

  • Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, and related services on AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Alibaba Cloud. 

  • Experience with SQL 

  • Proven ability to use hard data to back up assumptions and recommendations 

  • Ability to distill, cater, and communicate complex analysis and insights to senior leaders, both verbally and in writing 

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

  • Experience working within a high-growth, professional services or consulting company 

  • Tableau or other broadly used analytics tool certifications 

  • Proven ability to balance competing priorities, workloads, and tight timelines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment 

  • Ability to triage data concerns with both business and technical stakeholders, establish root cause, and propose quality improvement mechanisms 

  • Fluent English is mandatory
