Job Description
We are seeking a Director, Cloud Platform Enablement to be responsible for driving value capture activities for our Cloud Platforms. We are moving fast and are adding to our best-in-class team and joining McDonald's means thinking big every day and preparing for a career that will impact the world. As a part of our modernization efforts, we are expanding our capabilities deeper in the restaurant and rapidly expanding our adoption of our GCP Platform through migrations and new product announcements. In this role, we are expecting this individual to drive strategic cloud initiatives, be responsible for adoption of our cloud platforms, drive cloud financials (FinOps), and enhance overall cloud engagement with platform consumers. This role requires a deep understanding of multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience in cloud financial management, architecture, training, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud strategies and adoption that align with business objectives.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Sr. Dir to modernize, implement, and manage our platform intake and demand management pipeline to improve consumer satisfaction by reducing friction and integrating dependent services into end-to-end delivery.
- Expands our platform architecture capabilities and subject area to include GCP services with a focus on K8 and promoting native cloud services.
- Ideates, develops, and maintains repeatable architecture patterns for consumption that will drive standardization and improved delivery velocity.
- As a trusted advisor, synthesizes insights and provides recommendations to the VP and other leaders in the program.
- Develops, maintains, and supports the implementation of budgets, metrics, processes, and performance indicators to align with organizational objectives.
- Develops and maintains a Developer Experience program to drive continuous improvement for ensuring the voice of the developer is accounted for and actioned on.
- Drives and matures our Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) program and platform to ensure optimal economic efficiencies.
- Accountable for establishing our Cloud Platform budget targets and managing forecasts in collaboration with peers and Tech Finance.
- Oversees and drives planning, reporting, and ceremonies related to Agile PI and roadmap development in collaboration with Global Technology Infrastructure & Ops, Cyber Security, and platform consumers.
- Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our Cloud Platform solutions.
- Is responsible for the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure organizational performance.
- Prepares and reviews executive communications, presentations, and reports. Ensures clarity, consistency, and alignment with Cloud platform goals.
- Owns and fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the program by leading by example and inspiring the team.
- Mentors and develops junior team members, promoting professional growth while also identifying high-potential talent and creating development opportunities.
- Works as part of cross-functional teams on various pivotal initiatives through establishing and maintaining strong relationships across departments. The ability to work through challenges by influence is required in this role.
- Ensures effective communication and information flow within the program and other relevant departments.
- Communicates and collaborates with partners from HR, Finance, Legal, and Procurement to effectively manage processes, initiatives, and updates to the broader Global Edge Program team.
- Leads and mentors a team of professionals by fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The expected salary range for this role is $168,350- $218,860 per year

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in technology and/or program operations
- 3-5 years of experience leading Global Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) platform teams
- 3-5 years of experience leading Cloud or Infrastructure platform architecture teams
- Experience in leading Cloud FinOps programs/initiatives
- Experience influencing, inspiring, and leading high-performing, diverse teams (~15) of employee and external supplier teams across multiple geographies
- Referenceable track record in redefining and driving customer-centric engagement programs/initiatives that have yielded measurable improvement in quality and velocity
- Proven track record of driving business office activities including operating model, financial and HR processes, meetings and events, cross-functional initiatives, communications, and liaison activities
- Experience with organization effectiveness. Background in lean, six sigma, or agile is a plus
- Experience interacting effectively with a diverse group of teams and leaders
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in technology transformation, systems administration, digital technology, engineering, computer science, or other related fields

- Capability to identify gaps in technological capabilities and submit requirements to meet identified gaps
- Able to prepare and present accurate and timely information to other teams and leadership regarding program progress and maturity, up to and including the McDonald’s Technology Leadership Team
- High level of communication skills, including written deliverables, oral presentations, and the ability to facilitate crucial conversations at all levels of the organization
- Meticulous and solid organizational skills
