Job Description
We are looking for a strong senior manager of financial planning & analysis to drive value for the enterprise through strategic design and execution of best-in-class FP&A activities and transformational leadership. The role is highly visible across finance leadership as a main point of contact for forecasting and planning related activities and is critical for ensuring McDonald’s executes upon its finance transformation journey through evolving our FP&A approach. This individual will bring experience, energy, and insight as they influence and support major business decisions, ensuring that financial results and forecasts are well understood and clearly communicated to internal and external collaborators including our finance leadership, senior leadership team and Board of Directors.
Responsibilities
- End to end ownership of our annual plan process, including strong partnership across global and market finance teams, preparation of reporting and the related messaging and narrative for finance leadership
- Lead quarterly forecasting for the enterprise including communication to finance leadership on projected results, as well as risks and opportunities
- Prepare and deliver management presentations to analyze results and forecasts, building narratives that outline key drivers to P&L
- Assist in the preparation of presentations for senior management and Board of Directors
- Lead the LRP (Long-range planning) process for the organization, collaborating with senior leadership to provide actionable insights that assess business strategy and impacts to P&L
- Provide ad hoc analytics and modeling in support of critical business decisions and special projects
- Liaise with Global Finance Modernization team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A activities

The expected salary range for this role is $129,800 – $165,490 per year

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- 7+ years of experience; previous FP&A, Big 4, or similar experience preferred; CPA or MBA not required but a plus
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Executive-level communication skills and presence – ability to level-up the details, identify what’s important, and advise our leadership
- Consistent record of leading challenging priorities and addressing roadblocks –desire to work independently amid ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to interact with all subject areas, levels, and cultures and establish relationships
- A strategic approach, bias towards action, skepticism of the status quo, and can-do attitude – someone who is not afraid to dig in, uncover problems, and find solutions as a collective team
