Reports to: Chief Financial Officer& General Counsel
Type of Position: Full-Time, Permanent

We currently have an opening for an Executive Assistant.  The primary responsibility of this position will be to support both the Chief Financial Officer and the Legal Counsel. You’ll need to be comfortable making independent decisions based on knowledge of current issues.  This position requires dynamic calendaring and travel management.  It also requires a high degree of independent judgment and sophistication, as interactions with other senior executives internally, externally and with our Owner/Operators are frequent.  You’ll require excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with team members at all levels of the organization.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provide full administrative support for the CFO, Finance Directors and the Finance Department. Provide admin support to other members of the Senior Management Team as required 
  • Provide administrative support to the General Counsel, including manager calendar, scheduling meetings and appointments, and booking all travel arrangements, along with other miscellaneous administrative support
  • Coordination of meetings as required (booking venues, coordinating invitees, set-up for meetings (including A/V requirements), menu and food arrangements, etc.)
  • Preparation of all correspondence (letters, memos, presentations)
  • Design, review and coordinate various materials for presentations (slides, agendas, minutes, follow-up etc.)
  • Assist with department budgets, expenses, invoices, using various software packages
  • Follow-up and act as a liaison with various individuals both internally and externally at all levels of the organization
  • Complete all tasks in a professional and confidential manner

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years administrative experience supporting a senior executive, preferably in a financial environment, or role
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office products:  Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Having a strong knowledge (or gaining a strong knowledge) of the McDonald’s system, including head office departments, regional offices and restaurants would be a definite asset
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a high level of diplomacy and confidentiality
  • Outstanding written, verbal and telephone communication skills
  • Proactive, highly organized, with excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills facilitating the ability to work within tight deadlines while still maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adjust quickly to change
  • An administrative, accounting or financial education would be a great asset
  • Bilingualism would be a definite asset
