Job Description
Our mission is to make delicious feel-good moments easy for everyone, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data analyst to have a real impact upon thousands of customers in thousands of restaurants every day. Our purpose in the Technology Performance team is to improve how we deploy, run and adopt technology across our markets with impartial data-driven insights. Some examples of how we work with our markets (Australia, Canada, France, Germany and UK) are:
- Understanding how different markets identify, capture and resolve restaurant technology incident and seek opportunities to improve such as common definitions
- Informative KPIs and using machine learning to extract deep insights
- Correlating different technology choices (hardware, software, configuration) with restaurant performance, to inform McDonald’s technology development roadmap and prioritisation
- Creating self-service dashboards to showcase our capabilities and drive a culture of data enablement across the business

Delivery
- Use data to solve business problems, produce high quality, actionable insights through analytics and cutting-edge predictive algorithms
- Tell the story by simplifying complex analysis and giving business context
- Delivering these insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Produce high quality outputs using tools such as Tableau/PowerBI, Alteryx, Python and PowerPoint
- Use insights to drive business change
Team and strategy
- Be a technical problem solver, playing a strategic role and feeding back insights to the product strategy and product experience teams
- Take responsibility in building and executing the analytics plan/roadmap with appropriate data mining and analytic techniques
- Develop strong relationships across markets to build a deep understanding of market technological, business, and commercial strategies
- Support Junior Analysts in the team with a view to working towards formal management responsibility
Qualifications
- Experience working with large data sets/statistics in real world situations, recognising insights and communicating these to senior leaders to drive business value
- Significant technical experience of manipulating, analysing and visualising data
- Experience supporting others with delivery of their analytical workload
- Ability to work as part of an Agile team, communicate progress daily and regularly present at different levels
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven record in fast paced and quick changing environment
- BSc Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering
