A Crew Member has three main responsibilities: Customer Service, Food Preparation and Cleanliness and Hygiene. Good customer service skills are integral to the way we do things at McDonald's. A crew member will be expected to provide customers with a quick and accurate service and show sensitivity to their individual needs, both from behind the till as well as in the dining areas.

Qualifications

  • Education: Formal education is not required to work. However, it is important that you are hardworking, enthusiastic, and enjoy working with people. It is essential that you can read and write and follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Team player: It is required that you can work in a team-oriented environment. Crew members must be willing to contribute in getting the job done. Regular communication is done on a day-to-day basis
  • Apt for learning: Working as a McDonald’s crew member involves using a variety of utensils and equipment; hence they must be open to learning new skills. All crew members are required to undertake thorough training in order to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards. They will also learn to use a variety of cleaning utensils and chemical cleaning products along with the correct protective equipment to work as a McDonald’s crew member
  • Customer service skills: Customer service is at the heart of the McDonald’s crew responsibilities; hence they must possess strong customer service skills. They must be able to treat each guest respectfully and professionally, and deliver fast service to them
  • Flexibility: They must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
