Maze Marketing is looking to hire a Sales Associate to join our team. The duties of the Sales Associate comprise assisting customers in finding and purchasing merchandise, using the cash register, recovering merchandise, stocking merchandise, cleaning the store, and carrying out other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to capitalize on store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities 

• Reports industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management. 

• Provide outstanding customer service, greet, and assist customers.

• Use cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer’s purchase.

• Bag merchandise and help customers with merchandise as necessary.

• Collect payment from customers and make change.

• Increase orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer’s buying history.

• Own, qualify and develop opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts. 

• Prepares, generates, and follows up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders or determine the reason for the loss of order.

• Reviews open customer order reports and take action on open items, including those items that may be at risk in meeting the customer’s promised delivery date. 

• Clean the store, dust and mop store floors, take out trash, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.

• High school diploma

• Availability for a flexible work schedule including overnights, evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts. 

• Great time management and able to handle multiple priorities at once.

• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills.

• Polished and professional demeanor.

• Must have excellent written and verbal skills. 

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Understanding of safety policies and practices.

• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

• Able to perform basic mathematical skills.

• Ability to perform cash register functions.

• Ability to stock merchandise.
