Job Description
The Role
We are looking for a curious and organized junior professional to join our Tunisia IT team and support the day-to-day IT and security operations of our Tunisia offices and production/drilling sites, working closely with our local IT lead.
This is a hands-on, on-the-ground support role for someone who wants to learn how IT support, cybersecurity and business applications come together in an international business. Your work will be driven by day-to-day needs and requests from your local IT lead and the CIO/CISO, keeping endpoints, servers and networks running, handling entry-level security tasks, and helping translate business needs into data-driven applications. No two days will look the same.
You won’t be expected to know it all on day one. What we care about is your drive to learn, your attention to detail, and your ability to keep things moving.
Responsibilities
This is a responsive, support-first role: your day-to-day priorities will be set by your local IT lead or the CIO/CISO, across three main areas.
Day-to-Day IT Support (Primary Focus)
- Provide day-to-day support for endpoints (workstations, laptops, mobile devices): setup, software issues, user accounts and access.
- Provide basic support and monitoring for local servers and network infrastructure (connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS), escalating complex issues to your local IT lead or HQ.
- Troubleshoot everyday IT issues for colleagues in Tunisia, on-site and remotely, as they come up.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment, software and licenses across Tunisia sites.
- Carry out regular inspection and maintenance of IT equipment and infrastructure.
- Assist with system installations, software rollouts, patch management and cloud user administration (Microsoft 365, Azure/AWS), as directed by your local IT lead or the CIO.
Entry-Level Cybersecurity Tasks
- Assist in monitoring cybersecurity tools and dashboards for Tunisia systems, flagging anomalies as requested.
- Support basic security hygiene: patching, access reviews, and account/password hygiene checks.
- Support security awareness initiatives when requested: training sessions, phishing simulations and internal communications for Tunisia colleagues.
- Support local preparation for audits, risk assessments and compliance activities (including NIS2), as directed by your local IT lead or HQ.
Business Applications (Key Focus Area)
- Act as a translator between local business users and IT/data teams, turning everyday business needs, pain points and processes into clear requirements for data and analytics applications, when requested by your local IT lead or the CIO.
- Help map how business processes and data flow today, spotting where more structure or AI could improve accuracy and decision-making.
- Support the design, testing and rollout of simple AI-powered or low-code business applications and dashboards that turn raw data into decision-ready insights.
- Gather feedback from end users after go-live and help refine applications so they keep matching real business needs.
Growth Opportunities
This role is designed as a launchpad. With close mentorship from your local IT lead, and growing exposure to the CIO/CISO as you take on more, you will gradually build deeper expertise across:
- IT Operations, from day-to-day support to servers, networks and cloud platforms.
- Cybersecurity, from awareness basics to hands-on security tasks and compliance support.
- Business Applications & AI, from understanding business needs to translating them into data-driven, AI-powered tools.
- Compliance & Governance, from documentation to audits and regulatory frameworks such as NIS2.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or a related field.
- Certifications (CompTIA, ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS...) or a Masters' degree are a plus, not a requirement.
Experience
- No professional experience required; this is an entry-level role with full mentorship.
- Internships, academic projects, or any relevant exposure to IT or cybersecurity are valued but not mandatory.
Technical Baseline
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Wi-Fi) and cybersecurity principles.
- Comfortable with Windows; basic familiarity with Linux and general server concepts is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure/AWS is an advantage; interest in scripting (PowerShell, Python) is a bonus.
- Interest in data & analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, low-code/AI app builders) and how they turn business processes into structured, decision-ready data is a plus.
- Willingness to learn enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and security tools on the job.
Who You Are
- Organized and detail-oriented, you follow through and keep things on track.
- Curious about how the business works, with an interest in turning real-world processes and challenges into structured data and technology solutions.
- A clear communicator who can summarize information simply, in French, Arabic and English.
- Proactive, you look for what needs to happen next without being asked.
- Comfortable switching between different types of tasks throughout the day.
- Professional and reliable when working with local colleagues, vendors, and HQ contacts.
- Adaptable and eager to learn, ready to grow beyond your comfort zone.
