Job Description

As the Finance Analyst you are responsible for the periodic follow up on budget vs actuals, together with providing a monthly estimation of accruals. With the various budget holders, you will coordinate the compilation of activity and projects in order to get an estimation for budget revision and forecast. You will also participate in the calculation of project economics for the biannual submission of business planning to the Group office.

Responsibilities & tasks

  • Involved in the Budget cycle by Estimating and revising budgets together with a periodic update of actual costs;
  • Involved in the Accounting cycle by Budget coding of PR/PO & invoices and monthly estimation of accruals;
  • Involved in Business planning by Data input for projects Economics prior to the biannual Investment plan submission;
  • Coordinate the preparation of biannual budgets for permit and concessions and the preparation for OCM/TCM held with ETAP;
  • Keep track of commitments compared to agreed budgets by project and notify budget holders for any budget overrun;
  • Involved in the payment approval by checking of Vendor Invoice backup, correctness of rates & fees;
  • Prepare warehouse stock management listing basis for periodic Inventory stocktaking;
  • Filing of signed OCM/TCM resolutions & approved budgets;
  • Involved in the accruals process for Sales, Royalties, Crude Inventory, G&A, Insurance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics;
  • Approximately 3 years of business finance or other relevant experience;
  • Good proficiency in financial modeling techniques;
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions;
  • Good analytical and data gathering skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and under tight deadlines;
  • Proficiency in French and English, both verbally and in writing.
