Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supervising and coordinating Journey Management Plans (JMP) of in-country trips as well as equipment transportation as per Company Guidelines. You provide support and advice to different departments on Company Journey Management Policy and Procedures. In your role, you ensure all logistics activities are adequately arranged and efficiently managed, involving all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities & tasks

  • Leads Journey Management Plan coordination, planning and monitoring its smooth execution from start to finish; 
  • Assists in analysis of JMP in view of potential issues to identify corrective and preventive actions in close collaboration with HSSE Department and other stakeholders as applicable;
  • Maintains detailed and accurate traceability of daily, weekly and monthly JMP activities and create JMP key performance indicators (KPI's) with providing periodic reports to relevant stakeholders;
  • Effectively coordinate travel in terms of personnel & material transportation from and to the field locations of Mazarine Tunisia;
  • Support the Business Administration department in logistics, travel plans, request for travel expenses and in archiving;
  • Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles efficiently within the Business Administration department;
  • Managing car fleet (e.g. appointments for checking and maintenance);
  • Maintains detailed schedule for drivers in coordination with Administrative Assistant;
  • Preparing shipping documents in coordination with Administrative Assistant;
  • Communicate and escalate timely when problems may result in impact on operational plans, or falls outside HSSE or management guidelines;
  • Conducts periodic audits in conjunction with HSSE Department of the Journey Management data logs;
  • Proactively manages any emerging issues in close collaboration with involved parties (internal and external);
  • Available on a 24/hr call basis to respond to Operations’ needs (Production, Drilling, etc.) when necessary to maintain the highest level of responsiveness and production continuity;
  • Visits suppliers’ bases in Tunisia for equipment inspection prior to mobilization and / or to supervise critical material lifting / handling;
  • Effectively handle email volume, phone calls and respond to queries within shortest possible timeframe;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Administration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bac +3 (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in logistics management or similar/related discipline);
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in managing logistics of personnel and equipment;
  • Good knowledge of O&G industry requirements in terms of logistics management;
  • Fluent in English, French and Arabic (written & verbal);
  • Efficient written and oral communication skills;
  • Good knowledge of HSSE standards and policies;
  • Skilled in the use of common IT systems and tools, such as Microsoft Office;
  • Ability to develop and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders;
  • Good time management skills, able to meet deadlines;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Decision making ability; 
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team environment;
  • Well organized, self-motivated, able to exercise independent judgment, and demonstrate good problem-solving skills;
  • The physical ability to immediately respond to an emergency.
