Job Description

Role description: 

In this role you will be part of a multidisciplinary G&G team, carrying out coordination of 3D seismic acquisition, follow-up of seismic processing/reprocessing and seismic reservoir characterization studies, as well as seismic interpretation and leads/prospects generation. You will support the Senior Geophysicist, Exploration Advisor and overall G&G team as requested. 

 

Tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Seismic acquisition coordination (daily reporting, cost control, logistics, etc.); 

  • Seismic processing/reprocessing follow-up; 

  • Participation in the realisation and follow-up of Seismic reservoir characterization studies (seismic attributes generation, AVO, inversion, etc.); 

  • Seismic interpretation (seismic well tie, horizon picking, fault correlation, mapping, velocity modelling & depth conversion, etc.); 

  • Leads & prospects identification and maturation; 

  • Contribute to the play & prospects assessment and volumetric calculations; 

  • Participate in technical workshops and TCM/OCM, as necessary. 

 

Team: 

This vacancy is open to strengthen our G&G team in Tunisia (branch office of Mazarine Energy). You will also work with the Technical team in our HQ in The Hague, as well as with the Technical team in our other locations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Geophysics; 
  • 4-8 years’ experience, including seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation; 

  • Proven experience and good understanding of seismic acquisition technologies; 

  • Experience and good understanding of seismic reservoir characterization (seismic attribute, AVO, fluid substitution, post/pre-stack inversion) is a plus; 

  • Basic understanding of seismic processing/reprocessing and interpretation; 

  • User competency of Petrel software is a must. Knowledge/experience with IHS Kingdom software is a plus; 

  • Capable of completing technical projects on time, to agreed standards, with full product delivery;  

  • Good team player, capable of working under strict deadlines; 

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, can do attitude and pro-active worker; 

  • Good presentation skills; 

  • Good level of verbal and written English.
