We are recruiting for a Swing Shift Supervisor. The shift will be from 3:00pm to 11:30pm.
Job Description
LEADERSHIP, COMMUNICATION AND TEAM BUILDING
- Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
- Actively participate in quality and improvement activities including Lean Sigma projects.
- Owns shift adherence to production schedules, managing labor and equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
- Develop time and production targets and trend shift output, implement improvements.
- Promote a positive environment focused on quality, compliance, and employee development.
- Communicate with other supervisors & appropriate personnel regarding equipment, safety, work center schedules, company policies & practices, performance improvement plans, etc.
SAFETY AND cGMP
- Ensures safety of employees by proactively identifying safety concerns and resolving them in a timely manner.
- Support production staff in understanding company policies and practices.
- Accountable for executing to GMP (good manufacturing practices) with the shift team.
- Drive a Quality focused culture by monitoring compliance to Quality System processes, such as system transaction accuracy, documentation practices, material segregation, line clearance, etc.
- Responsible for security of premises, stop/start schedules, after-hours operations through the shift.
PROBLEM-SOLVING
- Performs basic mechanical troubleshooting, total productive maintenance and leads maintenance and assembler staff to improve overall equipment efficiency.
- Leads cross training effort to ensure employees are engaged and trained on all aspects of production.
- Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or technical vocational certification.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing (Continuous Improvement, Problem Solving, A3, and DMAIC).
- Experience with processes such as Quality Systems documentation protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in FDA (or equivalent) regulated environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and cGMP requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions in English.
- Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings.
- Ability to use various hand tools.
- Capable of lifting 50lbs.
- Basic computer skills.
