Maxim Staffing in Seattle is currently hiring experienced, licensed Medical Social Workers, interested a Hospital Case Management positions in the Greater Seattle Area!

Basic Details:

Contract Specifics: 13 weeks assignments, Permanency depending on fit

Facility Specifics: Three open contracts available, all with lucrative WA based hospitals! All 13-week Medical Social Worker/Case Management positions are in a hospital setting. Qualified candidates have at least one year hospital case management experience, as well as a current WA state licensure (LSWAC acceptable!). All contracts have the potential for extension or permanency with a good fit! Facility Specifics are as follows:

• Edmonds –OB/Women’s health/L&D experience preferred! 8:00-4:30pm, Monday- Friday

• Seattle (First Hill) – Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30 (or so)

• Puyallup/Tacoma/Auburn – Some float between facilities required. 8-hour variable day & 8-hour variable night shift options, part-time schedule also available. Variable weekend shifts required.  

Job Description:

The Social Worker provides social work interventions for Medical Center patient and family needs. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to: coordinates discharge plans and/or care plans for in/outpatients, including developing plans for ongoing treatment through services and agencies; performs a psycho/social assessment for continuity of care planning for in/outpatients; provides short-term adjustment counseling to assist with emotional, social, and economic stresses of illness and disability.

Basic Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal skills; a working knowledge of individual and family dynamics; strong organizational skills, an understanding of systems and how to work within systems; an understanding of the impact and implications of disease and the course of disease; excellent communication skills; the ability to perform psycho/social assessments; and a working knowledge of community resources.

• Associate or Independent Clinical Licensure

• Paid Experience working as a Medical Social Worker, Hospital Case Management experience STRONGLY preferred
