Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Brisbane CBD. In this role, you will provide administrative support to our legal professionals, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining a professional environment.
- Prepare and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems for legal documents and records
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and court appearances for attorneys
- Assist with legal research and document retrieval using online databases and resources
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and other correspondence
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as data entry, photocopying, and maintaining office supplies
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, vendors, and other stakeholders
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures (preferred)
- Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a law firm environment (preferred)
- Familiarity with legal research databases and software (preferred)
- Associate's degree or certificate in paralegal studies (preferred)
