Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Geothermal Technician to join our team in Baltimore, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of geothermal heating and cooling systems for residential and commercial clients. You will work with cutting-edge renewable energy technology while ensuring all systems operate at peak performance and efficiency. - Install, inspect, and maintain geothermal heating and cooling systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Diagnose system malfunctions using specialized diagnostic tools and troubleshoot issues to restore optimal functionality
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and seasonal inspections to ensure system reliability and efficiency
- Read, interpret, and work from technical blueprints, schematics, and system documentation with precision
- Test system performance using appropriate equipment and analyze results to verify proper operation
- Maintain organized and detailed service records, work logs, and documentation for all completed projects
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company protocols
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other team members to coordinate installations and repairs
- Manage parts inventory, order necessary components, and maintain organized tool and equipment storage
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding system status, maintenance recommendations, and service findings
Qualifications
- Current HVAC certification or equivalent hands-on experience with heating and cooling systems
- Proficiency with geothermal system diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, heat pump operation, and thermodynamic principles
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with complex technical systems
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical documentation and system schematics
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting and working in various environments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Preferred: EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification
- Preferred: Experience with renewable energy systems and sustainable technology
- Preferred: Proficiency with diagnostic software and computerized system analysis tools
- Preferred: Customer service experience and strong communication skills
- Preferred: Experience working on commercial-scale geothermal installations
Inspect, maintain, and pack main and reserve parachute systems in accordance with aviation safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight gear checks for all jump personnel and passengers.
