As part of the Pan EMEA (PEM) organization our Commercial Finance aim is to provide strong business partnering skills to the local Country Managers and the Mattel Action Teams (MAT), to deliver the full year Financial objectives through concise Commercial planning and insightful business support.
Job Description
The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Manager in Turkey, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager PEM. Turkey is a key pillar of the PEM expansion plan. This is a dynamic role responsible for driving market share, top line growth and profitability in the Turkish Market, whilst navigating and understanding the niche caveats of the market (hyperinflation, FX volatility).
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Provide strong Business Partnering skills to the local MAT team to ensure achievement of the full Financial Plan
- Take full ownership of the Country P&L & Working Capital, with quick & decisive action taken upon Macro Economic pressures
- Support the local marketing team:
- Establish profitability goals by brand via the Sales by Brand Forecasting cycle.
- Support the team with Financial analysis through seasonal Pricing
- Thorough understanding of A&P spend vs budget
- Brand Consumption models
- Provide primary support to the Sales department:
- Budgeting and Tracking of actual Customer trading terms (DFI & Sales adjustment), whilst influencing the effectiveness of spends
- Actively participate in Customer trade term negotiations
- Strategic planning of future investments by Channel and Customer segment;
- Price Exception requests
- Overview / liaison of the Accounts Receivables, manage Customer Credit risk with a view to optimize cash flow
- Business Planning & Inventory Management – participate in monthly Consensus Meetings to support achievement of Sales targets, Margin as well as managing inventory to Plan. Ensure proper focus on selling excess inventories. Monitor retail inventory and collaborate closely with the Sales team to action markdown based upon needs.
- Planning / Forecasting – Assist MAT to prepare annual Financial Plan, and quarterly Forecast updates as required by Europe / El Segundo
- Monthly and Quarterly closing activities.
- SG&A / Zero based budgeting. Supporting the country lead with the zero-based budgeting (ZBB) process to ensure compliance with the plan submitted
- Monthly Management Reports and updates versus Plan / Forecast
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- 5–7 years of commercial finance experience, preferably within Toys, FMCG, or licensed consumer goods.
- Degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA).
- Fluent in Turkish and English.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate European strategies into actionable plans.
- Proven track record of delivering results on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the business.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with an affinity for process improvement.
- Experience participating in regional projects.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and US GAAP/statutory accounting principles.
- Strong systems proficiency.

- Gross annual salary range of TRY 2,680,000 – TRY 3,182,500
- Bonus scheme: Participation in Mattel Incentive Plan (MIP with the target of 10% of base salary, payout is determined by company and individual performance results
