Job Description
The Opportunity:
As an Associate Credit Analyst, you will support the end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Credit Management process. You will partner closely with customers and internal stakeholders to manage collections, resolve deductions and disputes, monitor credit exposure, and ensure timely cash collection. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced regional environment where strong attention to detail, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills are key to driving healthy cash flow and business performance.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Customer Creation in System:
- Due diligence on customer documentation.
- Updating Customer billing and Shipping Address, contacts, email address Etc.
- Updating credit Period & Limit.
- Setting off customer Margins & adhoc pricing.
Accounts Receivables Management:
- Driving reduction of overdue AR in line with financial forecasts
- Ensuring Payment advises are received from the customer and appropriate cash application details are sent to Genpact team for accounting.
- Follow-up on overdue AR with direct and other customers.
- Maintain Daily collections report on real time basis.
- Managing Credit Blocks for Overdue customers.
- Addressing AR related disputed (If Any) and escalating to sales lead as and when required.
- Use Oracle AR Ageing report for all working/analysis
- Continuous monitoring of AR at customer level.
- Performing Half-Yearly review on Credit Limits in line with sales forecast.
- Manage AR Insurance for customer (Apply for AR Insurance, Review AR aging Exceeding 120 Days, File claims for overdues, Manage Documentation and Follow-up for Claims settlement with Insurer).
- Timely Escalation of overdues to legal team, post alignment with Sales team.
- Support in Systems enhancements and implementation of collections software.
Claims Management:
- Coordinate with Customers to get specific details related to deductions.
- Review and Evaluate the Deductions (Shortage/Damage/Price Difference/Promotions/Schemes Etc)
- Communicate with Sales/Supply Chain/Finance for relevant approvals.
- Issuance of Credit Memos (CN’s) and payment through Coupa to close the deductions
MIS & Reporting:
- Prepare AR Aging and Bad debts report on Month Close basis for review with regional finance team.
- Accounting knowledge for Provision of Bad Debts, JV Posting etc.
- Preparation Biweekly AR Report for review with regional finance team.
- Submission of Collection forecast on Quarterly basis.
- Ensure internal controls pertaining to credit and collection, customer management is duly followed as per Minimum Control Standards requirement
- Provide Statutory and other Audit Requirements
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from reputable university
Competencies & Experience
- Good communication skills and able to speak English.
- Good Excel skills and Analytical Skills.
- Having 3-5 years experience in AR Field,with expertise on collection, Credit Assessment, AR procedure and invoicing.
