Job Description

The Supervisor, Distribution Center Operations (B2B) operates in a fast-paced, customer-focused distribution environment and is responsible for coordinating, directing, and supervising teams to deliver exceptional service to Mattel’s retail, wholesale, and business customers. This role focuses on order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and service execution, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time in support of Mattel’s business objectives. This position reports directly to the Associate Manager, 2nd Shift B2B Operations and plays a key role in supporting the Pennsylvania Distribution Center's service and operational objectives.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must:

  • Supervise, coach, and develop team leads and associates supporting B2B distribution and fulfillment operations.
  • Coordinate and manage daily workflow to ensure timely processing of customer orders, prioritizing safety, quality, accuracy, and service.
  • Leverage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), transportation systems, and reporting tools to plan staffing, monitor order flow, and adjust priorities based on customer demand and operational requirements.
  • Ensure all customer orders are picked, packed, staged, and shipped accurately while meeting customer routing, compliance, and service requirements.
  • Monitor and drive performance against key operational metrics 
  • Lead training and development initiatives to ensure teams are equipped to meet evolving business demands and operational goals.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer service throughout the distribution center.
  • Ensure compliance with Mattel policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements while maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
  • Partner with People & Culture (P&C) and site leadership to address employee relations, engagement, talent development, and performance management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Inventory Control, Transportation, Planning, Customer Service, and other support functions to resolve order and fulfillment issues and improve service levels.
  • Support peak season planning, promotional activity, new product launches, and volume surges to ensure operational readiness and execution excellence.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, process optimization, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to retailer compliance requirements, shipping schedules, and customer-specific operating procedures to minimize chargebacks and maximize service performance.
  • Drive operational discipline through standard work, daily management systems, root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies to improve efficiency and service outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting Mattel and customer requirements and deadlines. 

  • Able to collaborate with employees, leads, supervisor, and management. 

  • Skilled at creating and maintaining functional and cross-functional partnerships. 

  • Strong writing skills. Able to write reports and correspondences. 

  • Strong reading skills. Able to read and interpret documents such as shipping documents, bills of lading, reports, safety rules/ procedures, operating and maintenance instructions. 

  • Strong oral communication skills. Able to speak effectively before groups of employees, leads, supervisors, and management. 

  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills. Abe to analyses and interpret reports, graphs, and other data. 

  • Strong mathematic skills- ability to calculate figures such as percentages, volume, cost, time. 

  • Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred 

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
