Job Description
Role Summary
We are looking for an EPM Developer (3–5 years experience) to design, develop, and support Enterprise Performance Management solutions using platforms such as Oracle Corporation EPM Cloud .
The role involves working on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting solutions, ensuring accurate and efficient financial data management for enterprise stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
EPM Application Development
Design, build, and maintain EPM applications for:
Planning & Budgeting
Financial Consolidation
Forecasting models
Management reporting
Develop business rules, calculations, forms, dashboards, and reports.
Configure metadata, hierarchies, dimensions, and data models.
Data Integration & Management
Support data integration between EPM and source systems (ERP, Data Warehouses).
Work with data loads, mappings, validations, and reconciliations.
Assist in building and maintaining ETL/data pipelines using integration tools.
Scripting & Automation
Develop business logic using calculation scripts (e.g., Groovy / Calculation Manager / Essbase scripts).
Automate financial processes such as allocations, consolidations, and currency translations.
Optimize performance of EPM applications and data processing jobs.
Reporting & Analytics
Build and support financial reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis.
Work with tools like Smart View, Financial Reporting Studio, or equivalent reporting tools.
Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial reporting outputs.
Production Support
Provide L2/L3 support for EPM applications.
Troubleshoot application, data, and performance issues.
Support monthly/quarterly financial close cycles.
Assist in system upgrades, patches, and environment migrations.
Business Collaboration
Work closely with Finance, FP&A, and Accounting teams.
Translate business requirements into technical EPM solutions.
Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, and UAT support.
Testing & Deployment
Support system testing, integration testing, and UAT cycles.
Participate in deployment activities across environments (DEV, TEST, PROD).
Ensure proper documentation of changes and release notes.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in EPM tools or financial systems.
Hands-on experience with:
Oracle EPM Cloud / Hyperion Planning / Essbase
Data integration and financial modeling
Business rule development and scripting
Strong understanding of financial processes (FP&A, budgeting, forecasting).
Experience with data loads, metadata management, and reconciliations.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud implementations.
Knowledge of Essbase, Planning, FCCS, or ARCS modules.
Exposure to SQL, ETL tools, or data warehousing concepts.
Experience with Smart View or BI reporting tools.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodology.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of financial processes
Strong communication with finance and technical teams
Ability to work under tight financial close deadlines
Attention to detail and accuracy
Job Location : Hyderabad
Work Mode : 4 days from office
Timings : Flexible to work in shifts (depending on the role)
